German WWII-era NSV (National Socialist People’s Welfare) plaque or badge featuring a stylized mother holding a child, with a swastika and the letters NSV incorporated into the design. The outer inscription reads:“Mutter und Kind – Gau Hessen-Nassau”(“Mother and Child – District of Hesse-Nassau”)This piece is associated with the NSV’s “Mother and Child” welfare program, which focused on maternal care, child welfare, and social support within Nazi Germany.
