German political propaganda poster issued by the NSDAP (National Socialist German Workers’ Party) promoting participation in a winter relief campaign. “Die Bayerische Ostmark, die ganze Nation im Generalangriff gegen Winternot, Hunger und Kälte!”(“The Bavarian Eastern March, the entire nation in a general effort against winter hardship, hunger, and cold!”). “Ein Appell an alle! Ein Ruf an Dich!”(“An appeal to all! A call to you!”). The lower portion invites attendance at a “Volksversammlung” (public assembly), with blank fields for date, location, and speaker—indicating this was a locally distributed announcement poster for community meetings.
