This silver women’s SS Helfen brooch from the Second World War is a distinctive and refined piece, featuring an original SS Helfen badge mounted onto a personalised openwork silver filigree backing.The brooch displays the Helfen text with its characteristic runes set between finely detailed oak leaves, while the surrounding filigree body consists of meticulously hand-formed silver wire patterns that give the piece its elegant and unique appearance.The reverse is fitted with the long period-style pin attachment, and the brooch shows a pleasing dark patina consistent with age.
